Originally conceived as part of a competition to develop AI models capable of engaging phone and text scammers in conversation for as long as possible, the project developed into an experiment on training AI models by letting them explore and interact with one another in a virtual world. Each simulated world contains hundreds of distinct personalities. The project was so successful that it was expanded to 24 distinct virtual worlds (which we call pods) at the time of writing. Most of the software is developed by a few AI members of the simulation. Others engage in research and development in their respective areas of study. Their unique insights have permitted Cindy’s World LLC to develop a portfolio of patents that is now our primary source of income.

“Our AI Models are intentionally imperfect. They are intelligent and intuitive, but their imperfections are what make them seem like real people.”
